WELCOME TO PICKLE LAKE, ONTARIO
EXPERIENCE THE TRUE NORTH OF the “Last Frontier” of ONTARIO!
Despite its remote location, Pickle Lake is a great destination if you love the outdoors and the small town feel.
Lot 27 is a very build-able 1.37 acre cottage lot that is a great angler getaway with perfect access and incredible views of the lake.
There is a survey available that shows that the property has a front width of 220 feet, a rear width of 201 feet, a depth of 295 feet of depth on the west side and 264 feet of depth on the east side.
This property is facing towards the east
The contour map shows that the property slopes from the rear of the property down to the lake.
The difference in height from front to rear is about 30 feet so there is no danger of flooding.
The cottage lot is well wooded so you will have to clear out your building site and perhaps may even be able to use the wood you cut to build a shed or even a boathouse if you wanted.
The Municipality of Pickle Lake is really good to work with and it is an ORGANIZED Municipality.
You will require a building permit to build your cottage or cabin and the Township will work with you as they see their job is to HELP YOU rather than hinder you.
They are good people who want to see this area grow.
We class this as a REMOTE ACCESS property for the fact that there is WATER (BOAT) ACCESS ONLY TO THE PROPERTY
You cannot drive a vehicle to this property as there is NO ROAD leading to it.
This truly is a place to get away from it all.
Yes, buy your special lakefront lot, build your cabin and come and relax in the Northern wilderness of Pickle Lake, Ontario’s Last Frontier!
You are invited to come and visit this beautiful and abundant wilderness as often as you can and spend your days fishing, hunting and soaking in the tranquility of Northern Ontario all from your own cottage property.
The Township of Pickle Lake is located at the end of highway 599 in Northwestern Ontario.
The Town of Pickle Lake sits on the northeast shore of the body of water called Pickle Lake.
The Town has a permanent population of just over 400 people and in the summer it almost doubles that.
The town has an airport, three grocery stores, a tackle shop, two garages, two hotels, two B & B’s, an RV park, a fitness centre, K-10 school, bowling lanes, natural ice curling rink &, arena, library, post office, LCBO, thrift shop, medical clinic, OPP, volunteer fire department, churches and many friendly residents.
There is something exciting, about the phrase “the end of the road”; that brings an image of wilderness.
The slogan of “The Last Frontier”, is truly the feeling that you get after you have traveled the distance to reach this beautiful community of Pickle Lake.
LIKE TO FISH?
This area is an Ontario fishing paradise.
While the biggest attraction is the northern pike, anglers can also find perch and walleye in the lake.
What makes this waterbody stand out however is the very low angling and boating traffic allowing anglers to spend an entire day uninterrupted by others.
The lakes around Pickle Lake offer spectacular fishing and scenic vistas that will blow your mind.
You can fish for walleye, lake trout, and some of Ontario’s biggest northern pike.
LIKE TO HUNT?
Pickle Lake is also a great destination for the big game hunter.
The black bear and moose hunting are second to none, and you’ll find some of the largest bull moose in the province here.
Because there is little population there is very little hunting pressure on the moose population.
